Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer Review

This week’s blog is a review of the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Concealer. I use the shade Light Warm. I’ll be talking about the following:

1. Product Description,
2. My Opinion of the Concealer,
3. Price and
4. Packaging.

1. Product Description:

On the Urban Decay website, it is described as “Hide even your most scandalous flaws. Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer gives you buildable, even coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish. Ultra lightweight, this high-tech formula melds like a second skin to give you full coverage in an instant. For complete coverage, just keep building; no matter how much you apply, Naked Skin Concealer always blends beautifully and NEVER settles into fine lines.

We loaded Naked Skin Concealer with lots of ingredients that are good for your skin. Matrixyl 3000 contains anti-wrinkle peptides to improve skin’s youthful appearance and elasticity. Japanese green tea revitalises and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines. Litchiderm (derived from lychee fruit) protects against dehydration, resulting in a brighter, more radiant complexion. And sodium hyaluronate helps skin attract and retain moisture.

Practical and travel-friendly, this formula comes in a gorgeous bottle that’s like a smaller version of our Naked Skin Liquid Makeup component. The modern flocked applicator lays down just the right amount of product, and it’s soft enough to use on the delicate skin under the eyes.

Naked Skin Concealer comes in a range of meticulously calibrated shade that coordinate with Naked Skin Powder Foundation. Our shade matching system provides a clear starting point for finding your perfect shade: the first part represents shade intensity, and the second indicates shade undertone.

Fill Weight: 5 ml / 0.16 fl oz”

2. My Opinion of the Concealer:

I agree with the product description. I am on the third bottle of the concealer and I love it.

I start off my base by priming my face with MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Primer, then I’ll apply my foundation Vichy Dermablend, then I use Sleek Makeup Crème to Powder as concealer and then I will use Naked Skin Concealer to highlight my forehead, down the bridge of my nose, my cupid’s bow and my chin. I also use it to highlight and conceal my under eye area. I have very dark circles under my eyes that I am self-conscious about.

Naked Skin Concealer really does help to conceal my dark circles and gives a flawless airbrushed finish to where it is applied. I have used it over top of other foundations and concealers and it is consistent in coverage, application and blended well with all of them.

I use the Real Techniques Concealer Brush to blend out the concealer.

I do recommend this concealer and I will be repurchasing.

Under eye collage
A collage that shows the difference the concealer makes. On the top left I have no makeup on. Top right I just have the MAC primer and Vichy foundation on. In the bottom left I have added brows and Sleek concealer on. In the bottom right is after I added the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. As you can see the Naked Skin Concealer makes a massive difference to my makeup especially the under eye area.

3. Price:

On the Debenhams website, it is €23.00 which I think is a fair price. It is a high quality, high coverage and long-lasting product so I feel it is worth the money. A little bit goes a long way. I find a bottle lasts me about 2 to 3 months.

4. Packaging:

The outer packaging is a rectangular shiny golden beige cardboard box. On the front is the product name, what it is and the amount of product you get. On the left side of the box UD is embossed into it and what the product is in numerous languages. On the back is the company’s slogan, an American postal address, a French postal address, it states it was made in Canada, the list of ingredients and barcode. On the right side is a mini description in two languages. On the bottom is the batch number. The top of the box has a sticker with the shade number on it.

The concealer is in a clear circular plastic bottle that has a circular silver lid that the applicator is attached to. On the front of the bottle is the product name, what the product is and the amount of product. On the back is the batch number, an American postal address, a French postal address, states that it was made in Canada and what the product is in different languages. On the bottom of the bottle is the shade name on a circular sticker.
